Ambala (Haryana): A woman Lieutenant was found hanging in the Ambala Cantt on Monday. The deceased Lieutenant took this extreme step after turning frustrated by the regular beatings from her husband, who is a Squadron Leader working in the Indian Air Force. The father and brother of the deceased have accused her husband of killing her for dowry. Police have started the investigation after recovering the dead body.

While investigating the incident, Regiment Outpost Incharge ASI Kushal Pal said that the deceased has been identified as Lieutenant Sakshi and her husband's name is Squadron Leader Navneet. The father of the deceased said that his daughter often told him about being harassed mentally and physically by Navneet. The father said that he got a call from the deceased on previous night too and learned that Navneet had again assaulted the victim.

After this, when the call came, he got to know that Sakshi had died. Sakshi's father and brother reached her in-laws' house. He has accused Navneet of killing Sakshi. The police have started the investigation by registering a case under section 304B against Navneet and have sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem.
