Gajapati (Odisha): An Andhra Pradesh police officer has exhibited exemplary compassion at a time when the entire country is struck by the fear of coronavirus pandemic.
One Pradeep Kar and his wife Anjali Kar of Balasore district in Odisha were staying in Hyderabad. After the Corona pandemic surfaced there, they were returning to Odisha by hiring a vehicle. However, when they had reached near Tekali in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, suddenly Pradeep died due to reasons not known yet.
But after this tragic incident, the driver of the hired vehicle asked his wife to get down on the road itself there along with the dead body of her husband and returned back with his vehicle leaving the hapless woman and the dead body on the Highway.

Anjali was sitting on the highway in the dead of the night with her husband’s body.
At that time Kameswar Rao, Officer-In-Charge of the Tekali Police Station came to her rescue. He made arrangements for a vehicle at his own cost to take Anjali and her huband's body to their native place.
He also requested other authorities in Andhra Pradesh to extend their cooperation in the matter. Besides, he also sought co-operation of other police stations, so that the woman does not face any problem on the way to her native place.
This exemplary humanitarian work by the police officer at the time of a great tragedy is highly praise worthy.
