New Delhi: Reacting to the incidents of post-poll violence in West Bengal, Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand and senior leader Dhiraj Prasad Sahu on Thursday said that violence is not good for democracy and should be stopped immediately.
"It is a matter of joy that TMC has won in Bengal. All opposition parties are happy but killing people or beating them is not fair anywhere," he said.
"Overcurrent situation, BJP supporters are demanding President's rule in Bengal. If President's rule imposed right after TMC government is formed in the state them it will not give a good impression," DP Sahu stated.

TMC has alleged that BJP wants to falsely implicate it on the account of post-poll violence in the state and to impose President's rule by blaming it for the unrest.
He appealed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should be given some time to tackle the situation and hoped that soon the state will overcome violence.
Earlier, Mamata said that strict action will be taken against those who found involved in the violence.
