Surat (Gujarat): Villagers and forest officials in Gujarat's Songadh reunited a stranded month-old leopard's cub with its mother.
Locals of Kanara village in Songadh were in for a shock when they found a leopard cup in a farmer's well. It is assumed that the cub may have gone astray from the mother while passing by the well.

Though the villagers were hesitant to approach the cub fearing the presence of the mother leopard in the vicinity, they brought the matter to the notice of environmentalists in the region, who in turn apprised the forest department.
A team of rescuers from the department successfully lifted the cub from the well and got its condition checked by a veterinarian.
They set up cameras and placed the cub in a box at a strategic location.
A video captured by the camera shows the leopard walking towards the box, probably through, opening the lid of the box and carefully getting hold of its cub before walking away.
