Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand): An earthquake of 3.3 Richter scale has jolted the state of Uttarakhand today. The tremors were felt at 12.21 pm and the epicentre is being mentioned as the Rudraprayag district. So far, there is no information of loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
Uttarakhand has been battling natural disasters for the last few months. There are incidents of landslides, cloudbursts, flash floods, and heavy rains. The state is also considered extremely vulnerable to earthquakes and is placed in Zone 4 and Zone 5 by the National Center for Seismology, Ministry of Earth Sciences.
