Haldwani: Delhi Chief Minister and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal has been accused of insulting the national flag during his 'tricolour rally' in Haldwani. Locals have alleged insult of the national flag during his rally. According to the locals, the national flag was seen wrapped with a broom during the rally, which is an unpardonable act. The locals have submitted a complaint letter to the administrator. Following this, the City Magistrate has ordered an inquiry into the whole matter.

The Aam Aadmi Party is making preparations to contest the Uttarakhand assembly elections. Kejriwal has also announced several new sops and promises to the people including providing one lakh government jobs within 6-months of coming into power and an unemployment allowance of Rs 5,000. He has also promised 300 units of free electricity, setting up a biotechnology hub, and developing the tourism sector. He has also promised 80 per cent job reservation for the people of the state in private and government sector, stopping the migration of Uttarakhand youths through a new ministry of Employment and Migration.
