Prayagraj (UP): Five people were killed and nine others sustained injuries after the roof of a house collapsed in the Hatia crossroads area at Mutthi Ganj in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj district on Tuesday, police said. A total of 14 people were injured when the visor of a house collapsed when as were standing underneath during rain.
Dead bodies as well as those who were injured were recovered from underneath the rubble with the help of excavators later, the police informed. Expressing his condolences, UP CM Yogi Adityanath directed district officials to ensure free treatment to the injured. He has also announced ex-gratia of Rs four lakh to the families of the deceased.
