Anurag Thakur hits out at Mehbooba Mufti over her 'controversial' remarks

Thakur said that they should understand that Article 370 and Article 35A is gone forever since the incidents of terror have reduced in Jammu and Kashmir and the territory is developing on the fast track. He also said that by the speech of the Home Minister in Lok Sabha, the pace at which development is taking place in the UT is commendable.

Union Minister hits out at former JK CM for restoration of 370 remarks

Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh): Union Minister of Youth Services, Sports and Information & Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on Monday hit out at the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti over her statement of drawing a comparison between the Taliban and the Government of India and asked the latter to restore the lost identity of the Union Territory.

Thakur said that they should understand that Article 370 and Article 35A is gone forever since the incidents of terror have reduced in Jammu and Kashmir and the territory is developing on the fast track. He also said that by the speech of the Home Minister in Lok Sabha, the pace at which development is taking place in the UT is commendable.

Addressing a public meeting in South Kashmir's Kulgam district, Mufti had said that there is still time for the central government to dig into its conscience and immediately restore the snatched identity of Jammu and Kashmir before it is too late.

Speaking over the resumption of talks with the government over article 370, Mufti said even in Afghanistan, the superpower country ultimately had to resort to negotiations. The Government of India should also know that the solution to the Kashmir issue lies only in dialogue.
