Agartala: Two Trinamool Congress supporters were allegedly attacked by BJP supporters on Thursday night. The injured were rushed to GBP hospital.
Both the Trinamool supporters hail from the Udaipur area from where TMC leaders Susmita Dev, Bratya Basu and a few others returned earlier in the afternoon.
Dev went there to offer Puja at Mata Tripureswari temple.
Reacting to the incident Trinamool leader and West Bengal education minister Bratya Basu said, “The BJP workers have targeted our cadres, who received us at the temple. Incidents of political violence also take place in West Bengal, but this can’t be a reason for the attack."
The injured are undergoing CT scans in the GBP hospital trauma care centre.
Basu also said that such hooliganism should stop.
