Agartala: Tripura has received 100 life-saving oxygen concentrators from the World Health Organization (WHO) along with 10 additional oxygen concentrators, 36000 VTMs and 30 ventilators from the central government on Wednesday.
"We are grateful to the Central government for providing 10 Oxygen Concentrators, 36000 VTM’s and 20 Ventilators. Thank you Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Shri Dr. Harsh Vardhanji, these equipments will play an important role to strengthen our fight against the covid-19 pandemic," Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted and shared the post on his official Facebook handle.

"This will further help us ramp up our medical infrastructure and ensure the best health services for the people of the state. We thank the WHO for sending these life-saving Oxygen Concentrators to Tripura," Deb wrote.
According to Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport's official Twitter handle, an Indian Air Force flight had carried more than 50 oxygen concentrators, 14 ventilators, PPE kits, 70 test kits and accessories from Jorhat on Tuesday night.
Agartala Airport also had to extend its watch hours up to 20:10 to receive the medical items. Earlier multiple consignments of such medical essentials had reached the state, giving a boost to its fight against Covid 2.0.
