New Delhi: Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan jointly launched the 'School Innovation Ambassador Training Program' on Friday. The program aims to give training to 50,000 school teachers on five different modules including innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking, product development and idea generation.
The ministries launched this campaign through video conferencing. The program, which will be run for two months, has been designed by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE for school teachers to promote creativity and innovation. The Innovation Cell of AICTE has engaged 40 trainers for the implementation of this program. The training will start on July 20.

The training will be given in online mode only. The program has been developed on the theme of 'Innovation Ambassador Training Program for Higher Education Institutions Faculty Members'. Launching the program, Arjun Munda said that the Tribal Ministry aims to provide digital education to tribal students of better quality. Stressing on better teaching, the minister said that if teachers are trained in a better way, then they will be able to teach tribal students properly and develop skills in students while promoting a better environment of learning.
He informed that all Eklavya Model Schools, Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas will be covered under this program. "In the coming three years, 740 such schools will be opened across the country including the tribal areas," he added. Speaking on the occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that in the future Indian students will solve global issues through innovation.

He also emphasized the importance of technology and innovation in the education system of the 21st century. The Education Minister said that today there is no problem of resources in the country but finding talented students from remote areas is a challenge. Describing this program as historic, he said that today's Innovation Ambassadors' will guide millions of children to mark their impression across the globe.
Dharmendra Pradhan said that 5G internet will soon enter the Indian market and through it, the entire world will be at one access and there will be no problem of communication. Giving details of the program, Pradhan said that first of all training will be given to the teachers of CBSE affiliated schools.
