1. Himachal landslide: 2 more bodies recovered; death toll rises to 19

Two more bodies were recovered at the landslide site in Nigulsari, Kinnaur, on Saturday, the fourth day of search and rescue operation. With the recovery of these two bodies, a total of 19 people have been confirmed dead in the incident.

2. COVID-19: India records 38.6K fresh cases, 478 deaths

India reported 38,667 fresh COVID19 cases in the last 24 hours, a bulletin from the Union Health Ministry stated at 8 am on Saturday. In the same duration, the country saw 35,743 recoveries and 478 deaths.

3. DBSE gets nod for exams, certificates

The newly constituted Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE), which is set to begin its first academic year (2021-22) has got approval from Council of Boards of Schools Education (COBSE) for equivalence to its examinations and certificates with other recognised boards.

4. Delta plus Covid variant infects 66, claims 5 lives in Maharashtra

As many as 66 people across Maharashtra have been infected with the Delta plus (डेल्टा) variant of COVID-19, while five people (two from Ratnagiri, one each in Mumbai, Beed and Raigad) have lost their lives due to the deadly infection.
