Surat (Gujarat): Amid the pandemic, as safety takes priority, an architect from Gujarat's Surat, Ayushi Desai, has come up with an idea for the many sisters to wish their brothers on Rakshabandhan. Desai has created a special customized Rakhi in which a QR code is being used as a medium to transfer the message digitally. The unique QR code when scanned on a mobile or computer, will display a special message or will play a song dedicated by the sister for her brother.
"Currently, the QR code is used for online payments and the QR code is also found on vaccination certificates," she said. QR codes are important in the digital age. This is the reason why there is a special QR code on the Rakhi which after scanning, either the brother will see the special message sent by the sister on the mobile or computer or the link of a song specially selected will open.

"This unique QR code has become the choice of people in other states including Kashmir, Telangana, Assam and Guwahati," she said. Orders have also been received from abroad from countries like the US and Canada. Through this Rakhi, the sister can express her feelings to the brother through the song. The QR code it generates itself and customizes on the Rakhi. There are many designs available with QR codes and siblings can also put their own pictures.
