Telangana: Police announces Rs. 10 lakhs reward for info on rape accused

Police will give Rs.10 lakhs to those who give would provide information on accused Pallakonda Raju. People who have the information can reach the investigators at 94906 16366 or 94906 16627.

Hyderabad: Telangana Police announced Rs. 10 lakh reward for information of an individual who is accused in the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl at Saidabad Friday last week.

Police will give Rs.10 lakhs to those who provide information on accused Pallakonda Raju. People who have the information can reach the investigators at 94906 16366 or 94906 16627.

The police believe a local person has helped Pallakonda Raju to escape.

'Will encounter rapist', says Malla Reddy; later retracts sensational statement

Minister Mallareddy assured the police will catch the culprit. The minister was talking to the media after attending a function in Medchal. The minister, visibly angry, said that the "accused will be encountered and we support the victim's family."

However, he later clarified that his sensational comments on the encounter, saying he was only intending to suggest changes in the law and ensure that such people were severely punished. He categorically withdrew his comments on 'encounter'.
