Medak (Telangana): Former BJP district vice-president and businessman V. Srinivas Prasad was found dead in the trunk of his burnt car on Tuesday, police said. A few people set Srinivas, along with his car, on fire, in the early hours of Tuesday, police said on Wednesday.
"After receiving information about the fire, we arrived at the spot and found Srinivas' body in the car's trunk. The accused have set Srinivas along with his car on fire," Chandana Deepti, Superintendent of Police, Medak, said. His body has been shifted to the local government hospital for autopsy. Investigation is underway. Deepti said a case has been registered under IPC Section 302 (murder).
