Jaipur (Rajasthan): Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra's remarks on women at a state-level award function in Jaipur on International Girl Child Day is being condemned from all sides. The minister said that schools having more women staff see more quarrels and that the principal or fellow teachers will have to take 'Saridon'. The minister who is already facing the heat over REET paper leaks has drawn severe flak with many condemning his misogynistic remarks.
Opposition BJP on Wednesday flayed the state Congress president and Education Minister Dotasra for his remarks, with the national secretary Alka Gurjar having accused the latter of making anti-women statements, saying it reflects his polluted mindset.

"The statement given by him (Dotasra) is anti-women and reflects his polluted mindset. Today women are capable in every field and work more than men because other than work, they have home and social responsibilities as well," Gurjar said.
Condemning the statement, the former state women's commission chairperson Suman Sharma said, "He is not the education minister but a 'Moorkh Mantri'. How can he give such a statement while being on a minister's chair? He should apologise."
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Gyandev Ahuja also took exception to the statement made by Dotasra, adding that he did not expect an education minister to make such a remark.
