Another foreign national held in Sandalwood drug case

Sandalwood actors, musicians and artists of the Kannada Film Industry have come under the scanner of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the recent arrest of three people from the city in Sandalwood drug case.

Bengaluru (Karnataka): The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police investigating into the Sandalwood drug scandal have arrested another foreign national, identified as Chidibeir Amaros, in connection with cases of drug trafficking in Sandalwood. Till now 21 people have been arrested in this connection.

The team seized 10 grams LSD is seized from him.

During the investigation, the accused has accepted that he was supplying drugs in parties of the actors of Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani.

Earlier, the team nabbed two foreign nationals, Loom Pepper and Bonald. Amaros is the third foreigner convicted supplying drugs to hi-fi parties.

The CCB intensified its investigation into a drugs haul in Bengaluru after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested three persons from the city, who were allegedly supplying drugs to singers and actors in the Kannada film industry, also known as "Sandalwood".

Filmmaker and journalist Indrajit Lankesh had given his statement to the CCB about drug abuse in Sandalwood.

He had also claimed that at least 15 people in the industry were involved in the drugs trade.
