Salman Khan, Salim Khan receive threat letter; case registered

According to police sources, the incident took place earlier in the day when Salim Khan went for a morning walk near the Bandra Bandstand area. Police said that at around 7. 30 to 8 am the letter was found by one of Salim Khan's security guards on a bench where Salim Khan usually takes rest during morning walks.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received an anonymous threat letter on Sunday stating that both of them will be killed like Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, police said. A case has been registered at Bandra Police Station against unknown persons and an investigation has been started.

According to police sources, the incident took place earlier in the day when Salim Khan went for a morning walk near the Bandra Bandstand area. Police said that at around 7. 30 to 8 am, a letter was found by one of Salim Khan's security guards on a bench where he (Salim) usually takes a rest during morning walks.

Police are also examining CCTV footage of the Bandstand area and questioning locals to know who is behind the mischief. Following the incident, Mumbai Police has beefed up Salman Khan's security. The development comes days after Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29.
