Hyderabad (Telangana): The Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' for the second day in a row has fired yet another salvo at the BJP and its current Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis. In an article titled 'Be Wise Now!', the Sena made it clear that the state belongs to the ruling party as much as it belongs to the ruling opposition and that whether a person is 'normal' or 'abnormal' like Rane, the law is the same for everyone.

Earlier, reacting to Union Minister Rane's arrest, Fadnavis said it was an act of political vendetta and termed it 'repression of the police system'.

"We do not agree with Rane's remarks made against the Chief Minister, we cannot tolerate it, also the action taken against Rane is not justified. On what basis do people like Fadnavis and others make such statements? So, acquit the accused and set him free to commit further crimes, what kind of an argument is that. This is not what we can expect from Fadnavis who has been practising law for some time," the editorial said.

"It is an insult to the state to say that there is a Taliban regime in Afghanistan after Rane was arrested by the police. Did Fadnavis and others think Rane is Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan? These are their attempts to break the rule of law. The state belongs to the ruling party as much as it belongs to the opposition today," said Sena in its editorial, adding that it is time for the BJP and Fadnavis to turn wise.

"If he (Rane) thinks he has become great or unusual as a minister in Modi's Union Cabinet, then it is certain that Modi will take the air out of his head. Prime Minister Modi is everything in his cabinet. Ministers come and go. If Modi considers himself a 'fakir' and Rane thinks he is great, the latter needs to understand the difference. Hence, there should be no doubt in Fadnavis' mind that Rane is a 'guest' in the Union Cabinet for a few days," Saamna stated.

Sena further went on to say, "Therefore, this responsibility is on the wise men of BJP. Again, there is an army of half-wise and super-wise people who have come from outside. Therefore, what has become indigestible in the BJP is dangerous for the clean environment of the state. This is a challenge for environmental activists in the state. If Rane stops thinking of himself as great, many problems in his life will be cured without any medicine and BJP will also be saved from getting infected."
