New Education Policy to strengthen regional languages: Ramesh Pokhriyal

Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the New Education Policy would give more power to regional languages in the country. He was attending a convocation in Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwa Vidyalaya.

Dehradun: Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank attended convocation in Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Wardha through video conferencing. He attended it from the Regional Office of CBSE.

While talking about the Central Education Policy 2020, he said that the policy would render a distinct identity to 22 different languages. The policy would give more power to the mother tongues in the country, he said.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned, the future generation would be able to surpass the language barriers and the nation would doctors and engineers in their mother tongue. Therefore, the government would endeavour to implement the Education Policy 2020 in all schools in the country as well as in CBSE affiliated schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalayas as soon as possible and present it as a model globally, he added.
