New Delhi: Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day after passing Coconut Development Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021. The Bill was passed through voice vote without discussion.
Chairman M Venkaih Naidu referring to the protesting MPs said that howling and whistling are not permitted in the House.
Opposition MPs created ruckus over Pegasus snooping row, farm laws, Covid crisis. The House has been witnessing stormy sessions since its commencement.
Three Bills were passed in the Upper House without discussion. The session is scheduled to end on August 13. Twenty-nine Bills have to be taken for consideration and passing.
