Ganderbal (Jammu-Kashmir): Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday morning visited the Kheer Bhawani temple in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to pay his obeisance. Gandhi was accompanied by the party's general secretary KC Venugopal.
Gandhi, who arrived on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, reached the temple nestled among mighty chinars in the Tullamulla area of the central Kashmir district early in the morning, a Congress leader said.

Security was beefed up along the route to facilitate Gandhi’s visit to the temple. "He will be visiting Dargah Hazratbal shrine too and will inaugurate party's head office at Srinagar," party sources said. "He will also interact with party leaders and workers at the party office," the Congress leader added. Gandhi will leave for Delhi later on Tuesday.
