Chandigarh: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday took out a victory march from Aroma Light of Sector 22 to Light of Sector 23 in Chandigarh to celebrate its victory in the Chandigarh municipal polls.

On this occasion, the newly elected councillors were sworn in. The councillors swore, "I will never let him break the trust that the people of Chandigarh have bestowed in me. I will work sincerely. I will never take a bribe. I will not do any wrong and will not allow anyone to do wrong. Aam Aadmi Party is like my mother. The people of Chandigarh are my family. The trust that the people of Chandigarh have given by voting for my party and me. I will never break it. I will never leave the Aam Aadmi Party. I will never betray my Chandigarh family and you. If I do this then people of Chandigarh should not vote for me again."

The Delhi CM reminded the councillors that they won their seats because the people of Chandigarh noted the admirable work done by the Kejriwal government in the national capital. "If Chandigarh has put their trust in the Aam Aadmi Party candidates by defeating them, they will have to serve them day and night. We got votes in Chandigarh because of Delhi's work," he said.

Kejriwal congratulated the people of Chandigarh for bringing in a new government and showing it to the Indian voters in the rest of the country that old parties like the BJP and the Congress can be defeated.
