New Delhi: New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday will reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President's addresses in the Rajya Sabha. The announcement was made by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday after the speech of the last for the day concluded. " The Prime Minister will give his reply tomorrow (Thursday)," he said.

The debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President's address concluded in the Upper House of the Parliament on Wednesday. During the day the Prime Minister delivered his reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address in Lok Sabha.

Even as the Opposition MPs lot demanding an investigation by a Joint Parliamentary Committee into the Adani-Hindenburg row, the Prime Minister did not make a single reference to the issue. The Prime Minister's speech laced dominated by an attack on the Congress-led UPA regime and the achievements of his own government.

While he dubbed the decade before 2014, when the BJP came to power, as a "lost decade", the Prime Minister described the following decade as "India's decade." Firing several salvos at the Opposition, Modi alleged that in the last nine years they have resorted to "compulsive criticism" instead of "constructive criticism." He further alleged that the Opposition resorts to attacking democratic institutions such as the Supreme Court, Election Commission and the Reserve Bank of Indias whenever a development is not in their favour.

He accused the Congress-led UPA government of being soft on terrorism, claiming that this attitude led to the bloodbath during the 2008 terror attacks. Scoffing at the Opposition's criticism of him, the Prime Minister said that since people are well aware that he will be by their side during any crisis, they will not believe in their lies. He accused the Opposition of refusing to see the success of the 140 crore people of the country, adding that it is the people's faith that protects him from the "baseless criticism of the Opposition.
