Jha further said that the Central government was not ready to discuss any issue in the parliament and attempts were made to continuously suppress the voice of the opposition. The Pegasus controversy, new agricultural laws, inflation, unemployment were not discussed by the government in the House. The session of Parliament was also called off yesterday even though it was to continue till August 13.

Bills were passed without any discussion. The opposition wanted to give their suggestions, however, that did not happen, Jha said. He further said that they have appraised Naidu of all the happenings in the parliament.

Pertinent to mention, the women parliamentarians were manhandled by the marshals in the Rajya Sabha. The opposition parties including Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Trinamool Congress (TMC), Samajwadi Party (SP), Shiv Sena, National Conference, CPM, CPI, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Kerala Congress (Mani) and Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) took out a protest march and said that they have lost their voice in the parliament.

The government, however, released a video to counter the argument of the opposition that women MPs were forcibly removed and assaulted

The video shows that the marshals had surrounded the well of the house and prevented the opposition MPs from moving towards the Rajya Sabha Chair. The MPs were seen jostling with the Marshals and two women MPs were seen pulling a woman marshal away from the human wall created by the marshals in the Rajya Sabha.
