Karnataka: Villagers petition Tehsildar to find 'missing' MP Ananth Kumar Hegde

Besides petitioning the Tehsildar, the villagers have also been circulating posters that contain the description of the Lok Sabha MP Ananth Kumar Hegde. They have announced prizes for people who find the MP.

Karwar: Reeling under the aftermath of COVID19 pandemic, villagers of Kittur in Karwar has written to Tehsildar, requesting him to find Ananth Kumar Hegde, Member of Parliament of Uttara Kannada.

Besides petitioning the Tehsildar, the villagers have also been circulating posters that contain the description of the Lok Sabha MP. They have announced prizes for people who find the MP.

Responding to the public outcry, Hegde's personal secretary said the MP is suffering from health issues.

"For the past few years, MP Ananth Kumar Hegde has been suffering from severe back and knee pain. He underwent surgery three months ago. The doctor then instructed him to take proper rest, said Suresh Chetty, Personal Secretary of MP Ananth Kumar Hegde.

"The MP would not be available for public meetings and visitation until he is fully healed," he said.

Kittur which falls in Uttara Kannada is severely hit by the second wave of the Covid pandemic. The people of Kittur want the member of Parliament to visit the village and help the people.
