Jodhpur: The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday deferred the hearing in the case against Robert Vadra to October 26 .The case was listed in the court of Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati but due to shortage of time, he couldn't proceed with the case today.

On behalf of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Additional Solicitor General RD Rastogi will continue with his arguments in the next hearing. Robert Vadra's company bought about 270 bighas of land in the Kolayat area of Bikaner district in the year 2012 at affordable rates for just Rs 79 lakh. This land was allotted for the Mahajan Field Firing Range of the Indian Army.

Vadra's company, Sky Light, sold this land for Rs 5 crore even before the fraudulent sale of land came to light. The ED had started an investigation in this case related to money laundering. Vadra had been trying avoid ED's questioning for long time but was forced to appear before the ED on the instructions of the Rajasthan High Court. The ED has sought permission for his custodial interrogation by moving an application in the High Court citing that he was not cooperating with the investigation.
