New Delhi: The central government has started a new initiative to ease the transfer of vehicles in the country. Under this, a new registration mark, Bharat series or BH series, has been created for new vehicles, a notification issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways stated.
Now, buyers of new vehicles will have the option of registering the a car under the BH series. People who have tranferable jobs face problems with the registration of their vehicles when they move from one state to another. If a person takes his vehicle from one state to another, he or she has to re-register the vehicle within one year. Now, if a vehicle is registered under the BH series, one will not have to re-register it when moving from one state to another.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways August 26, the facility of registering a vehicle under BH aeries on a voluntary basis has been given to defence personnel, central government and state government employees, central and state public sector units and private sector companies and institutions. Private sector companies, which have offices in four or more states can take advantage of this.
