Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): After Munawwar Rana's son Tabrez Rana was arrested by police for allegedly faking an attack on himself to implicate his uncles in a false case, Munawar Rana termed it as a political dispute instead of a property dispute and said that either God should take away his voice or give some wisdom to BJP leaders.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Rana said that the law will take its own course in his son's case since neither he is the court of law nor the police. Further speaking about BJP MLA Kaushal Kishore, whose son also faked an attack on himself, Rana said that he was granted bail without any hue and cry. However, being a Muslim has become a crime in Uttar Pradesh be it a common bangle seller who was thrashed in Indore or the rikshawala of Kanpur.
He also said that police is taking revenge, however, they will not remain quiet. "Neither we are sycophants nor do we go to anyone to ask for money, nor do I run any NGO," Rana said.
He also said that he is a poet and he will speak the truth even if it costs him his life. "If the poet's pen does not write the truth, then he should use that pen to put in drawstrings in his trousers," Rana added.
