Mehbooba says she has been denied permission to move out of her house

Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday claimed that she has been denied permission from visiting a family in Anantnag district.

Srinagar (J&K): Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and president of the People's Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti was once again barred from moving out of her home by the UT administration on Saturday.

"I was not allowed to move out of my house today as I was going to meet the family of Pervez Ahmed, a resident of Larno area of ​​Kokernag (Anantnag district)," Mufti told ETV Bharat on phone.

"Pervez was killed during CRPF firing. And I'm going to offer my condolences to his family," she added. This is not the first time that Mehbooba has been barred from leaving her home.

Last month, the PDP leader had claimed that she has been "put under house arrest again" as she had planned to visit Tral in South Kashmir to "express solidarity" with a family who alleged that the army beat them up.
