Maulana said that the remark made by the Allahabad High Court is absolutely justified and I think that the central government should also look into it so that the faith of crores of our Hindu brothers is respected and the cow can also be protected.
On Wednesday, the Allahabad High Court had suggested declaring the cow as the national animal in view of its Vedic, mythological, cultural importance and social utility. The court said that in India, the cow is considered a 'mother'. It is a matter of faith for the Hindus. Hitting on faith weakens the country, the high court also suggested that "taste of tongue" does not allow the right to take away life.
