Mira Bhayandar (Maharashtra): Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate on Sunday issued fresh orders banning the use of flying objects in its area of jurisdiction. As per an official statement, the objects include drones, paragliders, remote-controlled micro-light aircraft and aerial missiles. Orders have been imposed on its use under Section 144 (1) (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973. In an order issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vijaykant Sagar, no flying activities will be allowed from July 10, 2021 till September 9, 2021.
Similarly, Days after the first ever drone attack on an Indian air force station in J&K, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Tuesday reviewed the security situation with Director General of Police Dilbag Singh and other top brass of the security forces. Sources said that, during the meeting the overall law and order situation of J&K was reviewed.
Bhalla during the discussion also reviewed the measures taken to foil any future drone attack. The drone attack carried from across the border on June 27 have shocked India's security establishment. Following the meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reviewed the security situation in the valley. The national anti terror investigation agency, NIA have recently took over the case. In Tuesday's meeting, Intelligence Bureau (IB) director Arvind Kumar, CRPF director general Kuldeep Singh among others were also present in the meeting. Sources said that the meeting also reviewed the ongoing counter terror operations besides radicalisation inside jails in J&K. The meeting took place on the day when a team of delimimitation commission reached J&K to talk with leaders from all political parties to carry on the process of delineating the boundaries of electoral constituencies.
