Hyderabad (Telangana): Three members of a family drowned when the car they were travelling in plunged into SRSP canal near Medipally in the early hours on Monday.
The incident took place after the family was en route to Joginapalli from Jagtial.
Four people were travelling in the car at the time of the Incident.
The deceased were identified as advocate Amarender Rao, his wife Sirisha and their daughter Shreya.
However, Rao’s son Jayanth managed to escape from the waters.
Shreya was recently married. The family members were going to their native place Joginpalli in Korutla Mandal to a festival.
When were reached Madipalli, the car lost control and fell into the canal. The three Three people died before locals could rescue them.
Upon receiving the information, the police pulled the car out from the water and the bodies were shifted to Government Hospital for autopsy.
