Karnataka RTC bus stolen from the bus station in Tumkur

Due to the lack of installation of the CCTV's at the bus station thieves stole the bus and drove it until its diesel ran out. The police are investigating the matter and the search is on for the accused.

Tumkur: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus was stolen from the Gubbi bus station in the Tumkur district on Monday.

The thieves stole the bus which was parked at the Gubbi bus stand and drove it around the villages of Kunigal taluk. They left the bus at Jannenahalli village of Gubbi taluk after the bus ran out of diesel and escaped from there.

It is said that the negligence of the crew facilitated the thieves. Further, the officials did not even install CCTV cameras in the Gubbi bus station.

A case has been filed at Gubbi Police Station regarding the incident and the police are searching for the accused.
