New Delhi: Bihar Law Minister Pramod Kumar met Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday urging him to contribute towards boosting the law infrastructure in the state. In the course of the meeting Kumar demanded construction of a sub-divisional court for speedy justice and also to set up special courts in each district along with reinstatement of additional judges.
During his one-hour-long meeting with the Union Law Minister, Kumar demanded the appointment of judges on the vacant posts. Talking to ETV Bharat, Kumar said that the Union minister patiently listened to the minister and assured him of all possible help.

Kumar informed that the number of pending civil cases in Bihar is more than four lakhs and the pending criminal cases are over five lakh. Giving information that nearly 20 lakh cases are still pending in the magistrate's courts, he said that it is very important that they are disposed of soon.

Talking about his meeting with Rijiju, Kumar stated that he also demanded to boost the infrastructure of the high court and civil courts in the state by establishing advocate chambers, libraries, canteens etc.
