Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka slammed Congress leader and former Minister HK Patil who filed a petition to direct the government to obtain oxygen from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to compensate for the lack of oxygen.
A divisional bench headed by Chief Justice Oak asked Congress leader: "You have requested to get oxygen from ISRO. But, what have you done to solve the problem as a legislator?"

"Before telling someone, tell what you have done? What have you done to the people of Karnataka? How many beds are provided by you in your constituency? Have you installed at least one oxygen unit? You are in an influential post, you can work" the bench said.

"The House had the opportunity to question the issue. But you have sought the court. This is not a petition with a public interest. Instead, this application is filed for publicity. If you do not withdraw the application, you will have to pay a hefty fine and we will dismiss the application," the bench warned.
Around 1.30 PM, Patil's advocate told the bench that the petition would be withdrawn.
