Bengaluru (Karnataka): Unidentified miscreants have ablaze two expensive cars of Bommanahalli MLA Satish Reddy which were parked in front of his residence. Two cars, including a Fortuner were destroyed in the blaze. As per reports, the incident took place late on Wednesday night and came to light this morning. Bommanahalli police visited the MLAs residence and examined the charred vehicles. Srinath Mahadevan, DCP of the Southeast Division and Additional Commissioner of Police (East) Murugan is leading the investigation.
According to Bengaluru Police, the miscreants broke into the legislator's house through the back entrance at around by 1.30 am, and subsequently poured petrol and set both the vehicles on fire. The perpetrators movements have been captured on CCTV, and efforts are on to nab the culprits. Meanwhile, police also suspect that an acquaintance of the MLA may have been involved in the incident.

MLA Satish Reddy said, "Even though CCTV was installed at the front gate, the face was not visible. Police are already investigating. I have no political quarrel here. It does not feel that the incident took place due to political backlash. I refuse to take this politically. Someone has passed a malicious message."
