Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu): Actor Kamal Hassan who recently announced his ambitions to contest in the upcoming State Assembly elections said he is ready for an alliance with actor Rajnikanth's new political party.
Saying "we are just a phone call away," he added that an alliance of his Makkal Neethi Mayyam (MNM) and Rajnikanth's party would focus on the common goal of benefitting the people of the State.
"If our ideology is similar and if it would benefit the people we are ready to set aside our ego and co-operate with each other," Haasan said when asked about the possibilities of joining hands with Rajinikanth.
Hassan who is also the chief of MNM went to Tuticorin earlier today to meet his party workers after the district administration denied permission for his campaign.
