BSF returns eight-year-old Pakistan boy to Pak Rangers

An eight-year-old boy from Pakistan who accidentally strayed into the Indian territory at the Barmer border was safely handed over to Pakistan Rangers Friday night.

Barmer: The act of jawans feeding an eight-year-old Pakistani boy who accidentally entered into the Indian territory at the Barmer border has won hearts and is earning accolades. The jawans returned the child to the Pakistani Rangers on Friday night.

Apparently, the boy entered into the Indian territory at the Barmer border at around 5 pm on Friday. The boy got scared and started crying when jawans told him to go back. After a lot of efforts, the jawans managed to pacify him and fed him. The boy said he crossed the border by mistake.

The BSF called a flag meeting with Pakistan rangers around 7.30 pm and handed over the boy, a move appreciated by the neighbouring country.

BSF DIG Gujarat frontier M L Garg said, "An eight-year-old Pakistani boy Karim inadvertently entered the Indian border. The jawans fed the boy and he was returned after a flag meeting of BSF and Pakistani Rangers."
