Jaipur: Dozens arrested following clash between two groups

Dozens were arrested and several people were injured after a clash broke out between two groups in Jaipur, prompting police to deploy heavy security in the area. Several vehicles were also damaged in the incident.

Jaipur: Tension prevailed in Jaipur for several hours near Naila house as two groups pelted stones, leaving several people injured and damaging vehicles present at the spot. Police have arrested at least twelve people and registered a case against the accused in connection with the incident.

As soon as the news of the clash tricked in, Additional police commissioner of law and order Rahul Prakash and other police officials reached the spot and pacified the situation.

Several vehicles were vandalised and their window panes were broken in the incident. Cops are investigating the reason behind the clash and have deployed heavy security personnel in the area to prevent any untoward incident.

The police team also appealed to people to maintain law and order in the area and not to indulge in any violence.

Congress MLA Rafeek Khan told ETV Bharat, "Panic gripped as two groups clashed in Adarshnagar colony. Police immediately reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The matter is being investigated."
