New Delhi: A New Delhi-bound GoAir flight from Riyadh made an emergency landing at the Karachi airport on Tuesday after a 30-year-old passenger suffered a cardiac arrest on board.
According to an airline official, GoAir Riyadh-New Delhi flight G8- 6658A was in Pakistan airspace when a passenger on board fainted. All possible medical assistance was given onboard the aircraft to the passenger. However, after the emergency landing at the Karachi airport, the passenger was declared dead by doctors.
As per the documents, the deceased passenger Muhammad Noushad was a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
Sources said after the medical examination of the deceased by the team of doctors in Pakistan, GoAir flight carrying 179 passengers departed from the Karachi airport after refuelling.
