New Delhi: Fostering military diplomacy with Kazakhstan "KAZIND-21", the fifth edition of India-Kazakhstan joint training exercise will be conducted at Training Node, Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan, from August 30 to September 11 this year. The joint training exercise between both the Armies will bolster bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan, as per the press release.
A battalion of the Bihar Regiment consisting of a total of 90 personnel under the leadership of a Contingent Commander will represent the Indian Army while a company group will represent Kazakhstan Army.

The exercise will mould both Armed Forces for Counter Insurgency/Counter Terrorism operations in mountainous, rural scenarios under United Nation's mandate. The Joint Exercise is aimed for professional exchange, planning and execution of operations in counter terrorism environment at the sub-unit level and sharing expertise on skills at arms, combat shooting and experiences in Counter Insurgency/ counter-Terrorism operations.
A 48-hour-long validation exercise involving a scenario of neutralization of militants in a semi-rural hideout will be held at the end. It will boost mutual confidence, inter-operability between both Armed Forces.
