Hyderabad: A single-day rise of 30,549 new infections, 422 fatalities push India's COVID-19 tally of cases to 3,17,26,507, death toll to 4,25,195 , as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Tuesday. India's active cases stand at 4,04,958. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,08,96,354.
Till now, India has administered 47,85,44,114 vaccine doses including 61,09,587 doses administered in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 47,12,94,789 samples have been tested up to August 2. Of this, 16,49,295 samples were tested on Monday. The ministry informed that over 49 crore Covid vaccines doses have been provided to the states, UTs out of which 2.75 crore unutilised doses are still available.
