Hyderabad: India reported 46,148 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry. The overall tally of Covid-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,02,79,331. The active cases have come down to 5,72,994. India saw 979 fatalities due to COVID-19 in a day, the lowest in 76 days. The country has witnessed 3,96,730 deaths so far.
According to the Health Ministry, a total of 58,578 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours. The Health Ministry said that a total of 32,36,63,297 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. "India administers 32,36,63,297 doses of COVID vaccines and overtakes the USA," said the Union Health Ministry.
