Hyderabad: India reported 35,342 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Friday showed. The death toll climbed to 4,19,470 with 483 daily fatalities. The active cases have declined to 4,05,513. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,04,68,079.
The Ministry said that 42,34,17,030 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 45,29,39,545 samples have been tested up to July 22. Of which, 16,68,561 samples were tested on Thursday.
