Hyderabad: India reported 38,164 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Monday showed. The COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 4,14,108 with 499 fresh fatalities. According to the Health ministry, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,11,44,229. There are 4,21,665 active cases at present.
A total of 38,660 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 3,03,08,456 till date. The Ministry said that a total of 40,64,81,493 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 44,54,22,256 samples have been tested up to July 18. Of which, 14,63,593 samples were tested on Sunday.
