Hyderabad: A single-day rise of 38,628 new infections, 617 fatalities push India's COVID-19 tally of cases to 3,18,95,385, death toll to 4,27,371, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Saturday. India's active cases stand at 4,12,153 and constitute 1.29% of total cases. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,10,55,861. According to the Ministry, weekly positivity rate remains at 2.39 per cent and daily positivity rate at 2.21 per cent.
Till now, India has administered 50,10,09,609 vaccine doses including 49,55,138 doses administered in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 47,83,16,964 samples have been tested up to August 6. Of this, 17,50,081 samples were tested on Friday.
