Hyderabad: Single-day rise of 41,831 new infections, 541 fatalities push India's COVID-19 tally of cases to 3,16,55,824, death toll to 4,24,351, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Sunday. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.36 per cent. Registering an increase for the fifth consecutive day, the active cases climbed to 4,10,952.
Till now, India has administered 47,02,98,596 vaccine doses including 60,15,842 doses administered in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 46,82,16,510 samples have been tested up to July 31. Of this, 17,89,472 samples were tested on Saturday.
The government informed that more than 49.49 crore (49,49,89,550) COVID-19 vaccine doses were provided to States/UTs so far and that 3,00,58,190 vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs.
