1. SC to hear oxygen crisis of various hospitals in Delhi
The Supreme Court on Thursday is scheduled to hear the matter of providing Oxygen to various hospitals in Delhi. The Central Government has to apprise the Supreme Court as to how it will provide Oxygen to the Delhi hospitals.
2. Tamil Nadu announces new lockdown measures from today
Tamil Nadu government has announced new lockdown measures from May 6th to May 20th. It is to be noted that the top officials of the State Government including Chief Secretary Rajeev Ranjan had a detailed meeting with DMK leader MK Stalin on the Covid situation in the State.
3. SC to pronounce verdict on Madras High Court case
The Supreme Court will pronounce its judgement in an appeal against the Madras High Court observation & remarks which stated that ECI was singularly responsible for the surge in COVID-19 infections and that the officers of ECI be booked for murder charges.
4. SC to hear plea on West Bengal coal mining scam
The Supreme Court is scheduled on Thursday to hear a plea challenging the Calcutta HC's order which allowed the CBI to investigate a case of alleged illegal mining and transportation of coal in West Bengal, without the state's consent.
