1. PM Modi to hold virtual summit with UK counterpart Boris Johnson
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a virtual summit with his United Kingdom counterpart Boris Johnson on May 4, 2021. According to the release of the Ministry of External Affairs, the Summit will be an important opportunity to elevate multi-faceted strategic ties and enhance cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Both leaders will also discuss COVID-19 cooperation and the global efforts to fight the pandemic.
2. JP Nadda to visit Bengal over widespread violence
BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda will be visiting West Bengal again, on May 4 in the wake of widespread violence allegedly unleashed on BJP workers and supporters following the assembly election results on Sunday. JP Nadda will meet the families of affected karyakartas during his visit to the state.
3. Rajasthan HC, Subordinate Courts to function through virtual mode
Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur and Jaipur Bench would continue to function from May 4 to May 17 in virtual mode.
4. SC to hear Amazon-Future-Reliance case
The Supreme Court had stayed further proceedings before a single judge and division bench of Delhi High Court in the Amazon-Future-Reliance case. A bench, headed by Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman, said the matter will be finally decided by the top court. The case will be taken up for hearing today.
